Sebastiani Cabernet Sauvignon, Alexander Valley, 2006

Over 100 years of family winemaking in Sonoma. Will over a century of winemaking experience in Sonoma County, the Cuneo and Sebastiani families have come to know intimately the County's distinct appellations and their sub-regions. Our Appellation Selection wines spotlight these sub-regions and capture their personalities by scouring from only the best lots of each vintage for the final blend. 2006 was a late ripening vintage for Alexander Valley, with an Indian summer in late October, allowing lit Cabernet to ripen perfectly. The cooler vintage and 13 months of aging in French Oak bands has produced an elegant, seamlessly balanced wine. Enjoy with well-aged beef, savory stews, or a selection of sharp cheeses. - Marc S.
