Estd. 1879. Highland Speyside aged malt. This Aberlour single malt has been matured in two handmade oak cask types. Traditional oak and the finest of Sherry oak casks. The double maturation ensures a smooth and full taste in addition to the distinctive sweet floral and spicy flavours of Aberlour. Double cask matured. Nestling in the heart of Speyside is the village of Aberlour where a source of exceptionally pure spring water known as St. Drostan’s Well inspired James Fleming to build his distillery in 1879. The richness of the natural environment combined with the soft and pure water creates Aberlour single malt, a distinctive whisky of generous character. Color: Rich golden amber. Nose: Rich, dry scented floral and sweet raisin aromas with spicy nuttiness. Palate: Smooth, full, sweet floral and spicy flavours with a soft plum fruitiness and gentle oakiness.
