As our winemaker taste each individual lot throughout barrel aging, he identifies those special enough to become part of his wine. With Amador County being one of the oldest wine growing regions in California, a number of the vineyards that we harvest are over 100 years old. Old subtle use of new French oak seamlessly integrates hints of exotic vanilla with ripe, juicy berry fruit. Aromas and flavors of fresh blackberry, intense brambleberry, and dark cocoa powder are all framed by velvety tannins that create a silky, lingering finish.
