Our Castle Rock Cabernet Sauvignon is produced from grapes grown in California's Alexander valley, which was first planted with vineyards in 1846 and is now one of the most prestigious sources of Cabernet grapes, Here, along an inland expanse of the Russian River, early evening breezes cool the valleys warm afternoons, allowing grapes to ripen and retain their balanced acidity. Aged primarily in French oak barrels, this is a classic rich Cabaret Sauvignon with a ruby-red color and expressive aromas of cassis, berries and vanilla. On the palate the wine is intense, luscious and full bodied with a rich core of currant, vanilla, berry and anise. its finish is long and harmonious with supple and well integrated tannins.
