Recipe of the Week 5-18-2011

Pepper Steak


  • 2 pound Top Sirloin Steaks
  • 2 med Onions Sliced
  • 2 bell peppers Sliced in to ¼ in slices
  • 3 assorted peppers (Banana/Poblano/Jalapeno) Sliced
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • ¼ cup Season Salt or seasoning blend
  • ½  cup  Heavy Cream

Heat oil in a skillet over medium low heat. Season meat with salt and pepper Brown meat for about 5 minutes; add onions and peppers . Season with salt . Add beef broth to the meat. Cover and simmer over low heat until meat is tender, about 25 minutes. Add tomatoes and green pepper; cook 10 minutes longer. Combine remaining ingredients; stir into the meat mixture. Bring to a boil; cook, stirring constantly, 5 minutes longer. Add Heavy cream prior to serving warming thoroughly . Serve by itself or over hot cooked noodles or rice.
